This journal is boring no longer friends-only. Occasionally posts WILL be locked but it's mostly boring personal shit...
For drawings, please head over to Death Valley'69, my artdump journal.

If you want me to add you back--- just drop a comment with "HI" and I'll probably add you when I'm not feeling lazy.

"Everyone here is!"

Today, I made korokke in honour of Kill La Kill, I'm at episode 13 and I honestly still don't know what to think of it. It's incredibly entertaining for sure and I got used to Ryuko's skimpy outfit around episode 5 and as much as I appreciate how confident the show is in it's presentation it is just... so... over the top... like... even too much for me sometimes...

Yesterday I picked up the remnants of all the junk I left behind in Tim's appartment. Well, to my surprise, it turned to be a ton of boxes full of remnants, namely books and comics and such. My cousin... who's also in a bind of his own re:his education helped me out with his dad's car. We needed two round-trips just to get everything to my appartment. But I'm relieved it's over. I have absolutely nothing I want out of my ex anymore and I certainly have no regrets.

Today a classmate of my sister's recommended I watch the film "In The Cut", which was featured in Slavoj Zizek's The Pervert's Guide To Cinema. I thought it was a very telling movie on the concept of female desire. But then I'll watch anything with Mark Ruffalo in it, so.... uhhhh.

Trying to keep a long story short!Collapse )
Honestly I was kind of dreading about going back to Animation, fearing things would turn out the same as they did before. So my counselor made the right call I think. HE IS A REALLY NICE GUY.
Back in 1989 he made this stop-motion animation ABOUT A BANANA THAT LOST ITS SKIN.

My dean is also a really cool lady. Ah, so today I attended a meeting with my new class which was to discuss the 3rd year Minor and they all seem like really nice people. When I switched to Animation it felt like I was carrying a large amount of baggage and I feel like I can finally let go of that.

Also my new trolley/backpack combo came in the mail today. IT CAN TRANSFORM.
FYI, I'm 1.63 so I'm looking forward to looking like a complete midget LOL

So I guess I'll start of by writing about how the trip got of the ground. Most of my writing will probably in bullet points until I need to expand on an event...

The past few days.Collapse )

The new passports that are issued these days have an incredibly funky 80's color pallet and I'm loving it :D

So I was doubting whether I should be using Tumblr or LJ to keep note of the days counting up to, during, and after my upcoming month-long Tokyo trip. In the end I settled on LJ since I prefer its private nature.

I'm going trough a lot right now these days. My intention is to write the necessary information I need to eventually create a travel comic.

Next month, I'll be on my own in a completely different country. To be honest I've always been scared of being alone...

Life right now is oddly suspended to me. Like a lot of people, I've no idea where I'm going, but for now I'm just going away I guess.

If you somehow happen to read this I'd appreciate if you'd tell me. I really would.

It just seems that these days I'm having more and more trouble connecting to people on the internet. Making new friends on DA or other creative communities used to go pretty easy when I started out, but these days? Guess it's just me being lazy and/or scared... SO RONERI, I SHOULD STOP BEING LAZY.

Also I was kind of surprised to learn that Mark Webber, the actor who plays Stephen Stills in the Scott Pilgrim movie*, played...
"I'm not an idiot, I watch TV!"
...Scooby, from Todd Solondz' Storytelling, which is (probably) mostly known for it's sex scenes with Selma Blair :/

*also I resent that I'm going to have to wait until November 25th till I can see this in Dutch cinemas. wtf. that's like 1 day before I turn 21.
