It just seems that these days I'm having more and more trouble connecting to people on the internet. Making new friends on DA or other creative communities used to go pretty easy when I started out, but these days? Guess it's just me being lazy and/or scared... SO RONERI, I SHOULD STOP BEING LAZY.

Also I was kind of surprised to learn that Mark Webber, the actor who plays Stephen Stills in the Scott Pilgrim movie*, played...
"I'm not an idiot, I watch TV!"

...Scooby, from Todd Solondz' Storytelling, which is (probably) mostly known for it's sex scenes with Selma Blair :/

*also I resent that I'm going to have to wait until November 25th till I can see this in Dutch cinemas. wtf. that's like 1 day before I turn 21.

Tonight, I was thinking a lot about writing comics (and how bad I am at it) which got me to thinking "HEY I SHOULD READ BEFORE DAWN AND THE END OF THE WORLD I HAVEN'T READ THAT YET"

And then I got to "Tokyo" and cried for fifteen minutes straight.

Sometimes I wonder, WHAT IS THE POINT?? WHAT IS THE POINT OF DRAWING ALL THIS PORNO.
From now on, I will try to make less pointless porno.

Edit: In Berlin: I was browsing a regular comic shop with a rather nice stock of manga. When I got to the back of the shop I spotted the Po-Ju Collection lying in a showcase. TALK ABOUT UNEXPECTED. I didn't buy it, of course since I was there on holiday with family and that would have been a-wkwardddd.
However, what I did get was an artbook by Kaoru Fujiwara! What a shame she left the industry (due to allegations of plagiarism???).

I've been back for a few days. Sorry for not contacting people. Will do so Monday--- I SWEAR.

My sister and me arrived in London on the 14th. We've been enjoying ourselves shopping, reading and just taking it easy in general. On the first day, we ended up on Carnaby Street and they have SO MANY CUTE LITTLE INDEPENDENT BOUTIQES AAAAAHhhhhhh.

Some coincidental events that I find rather wonderfull;
- My sister was introduced to Haruku Murakami's novels when she was in Greece, by a roommate. In many of his novels he makes references to Greece :) I borrowed Sputnik Sweetheart from her yesterday... (this may or may have been because of a certain P4 fanfic).

- My father and mother met in the same city ('s-Hertogenbosch) I currently reside with Tim.
At some wedding party, my dad was performing and my mother was rather impressed at the time... :)
Here's a vid of my dad singing;

(If he's to be believed, my dad is a favourite in the vietnamese club scene?! lol)

Hope everyone in the Netherlands and on LJ is doing okay!
